Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 2026

1. Introduction

At The Average Company, we prioritize the privacy and security of your data. As a sovereign infrastructure provider, we are deeply committed to complying with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act of India. This policy details how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect the data necessary to provide and improve our services.

Data Type Purpose
Account Information
Name, Email, Organization
To identify you, bill you, and provide access to your sovereign dashboard.
Technical Logs
IP, Browser, Endpoint usage
To monitor infrastructure health, prevent DDoS attacks, and measure API latencies.
Telemetry Data
Model latency, Token counts
Anonymized data used strictly to optimize The Average Model's inference speeds.

3. Data Localization

All structured user data, specifically Account Information and Private Fine-Tuning datasets, are stored entirely within the sovereign borders of India across our Tier-4 data centers in Mumbai and Bengaluru. We do not transfer DPDP-regulated sensitive data across borders without explicit geographic opt-in from enterprise administrators.

4. Training Data and LLMs

We do not use your enterprise API data (prompts, completions, documents) to train our foundational models (The Average Model suite) unless you specifically utilize the "Shared Training Pool" feature for discounted API rates. Your private fine-tuned weights remain strictly siloed.

5. Data Security

We implement robust, state-of-the-art security measures:

  • AES-256 bit encryption for data at rest.
  • TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit.
  • Quarterly independent penetration testing by CERT-In empaneled auditors.

6. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you possess specific rights concerning your digital personal data:

  • Right Access & Correction: You may request a summary of the data we hold and ask for corrections.
  • Right to Erasure: You may request the deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Consent Withdrawal: You may withdraw your consent at any time through your dashboard privacy settings.

Data Protection Officer

The Average Company has appointed a dedicated Data Protection Officer (DPO) to handle any queries regarding this Privacy Policy.
